Cookie banner in Nigeria (NDPA / GAID)
The Nigeria Data Protection Commission's General Application and Implementation Directive (GAID) 2025, in force since September 19, 2025, spells out what cookie consent must look like under the NDPA: visible, explicit and easy to withdraw.

- The banner must be visible on the first screen, no scrolling required — hiding it in the footer doesn't count.
- Explicit accept-or-reject option for any cookie that isn't strictly necessary.
- Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it.
